Join in on a guided tour in the Swedish people’s car; the Volvo PV 444/544. Have you ever dreamed of driving a stylish old Volvo? Perhaps you used to own one, went on holiday in the back seat as a child or just quite simply like the look of these squat little cars?
The Volvo PV 444/544, manufactured between 1947 and 1965, was the car that put Sweden on the road. The car was built in Gothenburg in a period when the city was growing very quickly. 440,000 cars were manufactured, and there are still a few left today.
Time Travel Sightseeing Göteborg
Our tours start from the Waterfront Hotel at Klippan and take you on an hour and a half’s entertaining and interesting trip through time in Gothenburg. Our guides provide you with glimpses of the 1950-1970 period, but also with insights into the modern day.
We travel together. Our entertaining guide travels at the front of the column, microphone at the ready, followed by all the other cars in a neat line.
